As with other Orion welders, the Orion 150s utilizes two different welding technologies - Pulse Arc and Tack. The Tack Mode uses resistance welding technology with up to 150 watt-seconds of energy. The Tack Mode is perfect for temporary placement or permanent fusion welding. The Pulse Arc Mode uses pulse-arc welding technology and consists of two distinct energy ranges - Micro and Ultra. The Ultra energy range uses up to 150 joules of energy for projects that require deeper penetration or a larger spot size. The Micro energy range uses up to 30 joules of energy and is perfect for smaller and more delicate pieces. The Orion Pulse 200i is the most versatile and complete welding solution for the master jeweler, and is the top-selling unit in the Jewelry line. Designed with jewelers in mind, the all-new Pulse 200i has all the critical features necessary to design, create and repair jewelry, watches, eyeglasses and more.

The Orion Pulse 200i is the most advanced micro pulse-arc welding system available on the market today and features newly developed Intelligent Welding™ technology. The Intelligent Welding™ technology simplifies the welding process by automatically adjusting weld settings for any metal or application. In addition, the new Orion Pulse 200i will allow users to experience interactive touch screen navigation, high-frequency agitation for difficult metals like palladium, adaptive weld ignition for longer electrode life, a new rapid fire setting for laser like welding speed, and more.

As with other Orion welders, the Orion Pulse 200i utilizes two different welding technologies – pulse arc and resistance. The Tack Mode uses resistance welding technology with up to 150 watt-seconds of energy. This mode is perfect for temporary placement or permanent fusion welding. The Pulse Arc Mode uses pulse-arc welding technology and consists of three distinct energy ranges – Ultra, Micro, and a new range – Nano. The new user interface of the Orion Pulse 200i incorporates many innovative ideas to enhance and simplify the welding process. The Orion’s proprietary MyWeld™ Management Interface is displayed on a 9 inch color touch screen that is conveniently mounted to the microscope. Users have one-touch access to every weld parameter. In addition, the MyWeld™ menu configures enhanced weld presets based on the metal type. Users can select the metal they are working with, and the MyWeld™ software will automatically adjust the various parameters to deliver the ideal weld settings. Once the Orion has set the various parameters all the user will need to do is determine what energy (power) setting to use. The Orion will assist with the energy selection by displaying the approximate weld spot size and penetration depth on the screen. In addition, the Orion Pulse 200i has advanced interactive help menus and videos.

The Orion Pulse 200i is designed to save space. Compared to other bulky welding technologies, the innovative Orion Pulse 150i will take up less than half a square foot of space on a jeweler’s bench. The new 3D microscope flex arm will allow users to simply move the Orion when not in use to help maximize bench space.
